Survivor’s Remorse Canceled

Fans of a Starz series will be sad to know that their Sunday night programming is coming to an end. “Survivor’s Remorse” the Lebron James produced series that followed “Power” has been canceled by the network. The show’s current fourth season that centers around basketball star Cam Calloway [Jessie T. Usher] will be its last according to The Hollywood Reporter who spoke with Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht.

“We have been fortunate to work with incredible talents like Mike O’Malley, the executive producers and our cast on this very special show for four seasons,” said Albrecht Tuesday in a statement. “While this may be the end of the Calloways’ story, we do believe that the themes Survivor’s Remorse confronted over the seasons, through a unique mix of humor and sober observation, will be appreciated for the insightful, heartfelt way they were addressed. We are proud of the show.”

The stars of the show have since taken to IG to thank fans for their viewership including Jessie T. Usher himself who told a heart-warming story about his audition.

It’s a shame to see another black television show bite the dust this year.
