Cam’ron Has A New Mixtape On The Way

Cam’ron just announced he has a new mixtape coming, titled The Program. The project is dropping next week and will be followed by a tour of the same name. Killa Cam made the exciting announcement on Instagram by posting a video snippet of an upcoming track slated for the mixtape. The song revolves around The Dipset member reminiscing about his glory days over a sample of Bill Withers’ classic song, “Lean on Me.”

Throughout the snippet, Cam proves that he’s still got it, rapping bars including: “Ima warn ya/In ya circle don’t mean that they in ya corner/Almost was a goner 10 years for marijuana/Only thing I ever said in court ‘I plead the fifth, hell no and no your honor’/So the streets honor me humble believe I’m honored.”

The snippet concludes with an album cover that shows a group of kids climbing onto a broken down Cadillac in the projects. The comments under the video are a good indication that everyone who already loves Cam is super excited for this mixtape. The Program was initially set to release in May, but now 6 months later, it’s better late than never. The mixtape will serve as the prelude to his forthcoming LP, Killa Season 2.
