Six Miami firefighters have been fired after allegedly placing a noose over a black lieutenant’s family photo.

The noose was created out of twine and hung over the lieutenant’s family photo, according to a report from the Miami Herald. Several firefighters also drew sexually suggestive pictures over additional family photos. However, it is still unknown who actually made the noose.

Ultimately, 11 firefighters were relieved from duty including William W. BrysonKevin Meizoso, David Rivera, Justin Rumbaugh, Harold Santana, and Alejandro Sese. According to termination letters sent to the firefighters, Sese came up with the idea to deface the photos. Meizoso, Rumbaugh, and Santana were the ones who drew the sexually suggestive images over the family photos.

Miami City Manager Daniel Alfonso condemned the “sexually explicit and racially offensive conduct.”

“It is the policy of the City of Miami to provide a workplace for all employees that is free from intimidation, threats or violent acts,” Alfonso said.

“In addition, an investigation continues into lesser involvement by others who were at the station,” he added. “Findings could result in disciplinary actions ranging from suspensions to demotions.”

Two months ago came news that a group of white teens attacked and attempted to hang a biracial 8-year-old boy in Claremont, New Hampshire.

The child was flown by medevac to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where his mother, Cassandra Merlin, posted the aftermath image of the attack to her Facebook page. “My son is being flown to Dartmouth after a 14-year-old kid decided to hang him from a tree. I don’t care if this was a so-called accident or not,” she wrote. “My son almost died because of some little s**t teenage kids.”
